About the 9th Korean Cinema Celebration in Canada

The Korean Cultural Centre Canada proudly presents the 9th Korean Cinema Celebration in Canada, taking place from April 17 to April 27, 2026, in Toronto and Ottawa.

Starting this year, the festival enters an exciting new chapter with the expansion and rebranding of the Ottawa Korean Film Festival (OKFF). Moving beyond regional boundaries, OKFF is now designed to be hosted in cities across Canada, creating new opportunities to introduce Korean cinema to broader and more diverse audiences nationwide.

Guided by the theme “Laugh, Thrill, Imagine,” this year’s festival presents five Korean films—<THE KING OF KINGS>, <LOVE RESET>, <EXTREME JOB>, <OMNISCIENT READER: THE PROPHECY>, and <HI-FIVE>— which will be screened both in theatres and online. The lineup offers a lively mix of comedy and adventure, showcasing Korea’s unique humour, imaginative storytelling, and cultural charm.
